Depression

Feeling sad occasionally is a normal part of life. We all have our “bad days.” Everyday events sometimes leave us feeling a little “blue.” There are other times when the feelings of sadness just don’t go away. It can be debilitating. Depression is more than occasional sadness and affects many areas of a person’s life. People with depression often feel overwhelmed and hopeless.

It is common for people who are depressed to have sleep problems and feel fatigued. Depression in children can look different than depression in adults. Children experiencing depression could be “touchy” than normal and may be easily irritated.
