Individuals will be introduced to effective ways to handle situations, which evoke anger.  

Our therapist will teach effective skills for coping and controlling anger, which will include ways to replace passive and/or aggressive behavior with assertive behavior. 

Consumers will also be taught to use their personal power and “I” messages to express their feelings in a positive manner. 

The Therapist will use Anger Management tools for program success include peers reinforcing successes, anger episode journals.

Our therapists will use successful Anger Management tools including peer reinforcing successes, anger episode journals, the video that invites awareness for solutions, instruction by trained and caring adults to increase their level of social competence and regain control of emotions and self. 

Consumers will be taught ways of understanding anger, effective communication of needs, relaxation/de-escalation techniques for stress, regaining control, taking responsibility for choices and the “price tag” that comes with anger.

Consumers will also be taught empathy impulse control and problem- solving, self-esteem, speaker/listener technique, communication, morals/values, peer pressure, the “train car effect” and how to deal with your baggage.
